Case registered against TMC MP Mahua Moitra, allegation of ‘occupation’ at the house

Mahua Moitra’s former partner, lawyer Jai Ananth Dehadrai, has complained against the MP that he has encroached (encroached) on his house. There is also an allegation of intimidation and threatening.

Advocate Jai Ananth has given a complaint to Delhi Police demanding registration of FIR against TMC MP Mahua Moitra. In the complaint given to the SHO of Hauz Khas, lawyer Jai Anant said that Mahua Moitra reached his house without calling on 5th and 6th November, once in the car of MP Pinaki Mishra and the second time in the car of MLA Vivek Gupta. Jai Anant wrote in the complaint that Mahua entered his house unauthorized and this was done with the purpose of scaring him.

He demanded the police to investigate the unauthorized entry case and take appropriate action. Jai Ananth also said that a complaint of corruption had been made against Mahua, to take revenge of which she wants to cause physical harm. He asked the police to investigate the matter and register a case. Also demanded adequate security for himself.

Jai Ananth came into limelight when BJP MP Nishikant Dubey wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla accusing Mahua Moitra of taking money from a businessman for asking questions in the House. Dubey says that he has based his allegations on Jai Anant’s letter. The lawyer claims he has “irrefutable evidence” of the TMC MP taking bribe from Hiranandani in exchange for asking questions about Adani Group.

Mahua Moitra had called the allegations insulting

Moitra has denied these allegations and called them insulting. He had also sent a legal notice to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and lawyer Jai Ananth regarding his claims. On November 2, Moitra appeared for the Parliament’s Ethics Committee hearing regarding the allegations. However, he had alleged that the committee members had behaved “disrespectfully, unethically and prejudicially”. She had walked out of the hearing along with other opposition MPs.
