Stop eating 4 foods to reduce your risk of heart attack! What's on the list?

Making some changes in your diet can help you control heart problems before they get out of hand. Delhi-based cardiologist Alok Chopra has suggested that you should stop bringing 4 types of food home to reduce the risk of heart attack.

Due to uncontrolled lifestyle, unhealthy diet and lack of exercise, heart problems are now common in every household. High blood pressure, 'bad' cholesterol in the blood - all these are like everyday companions of people. However, there are medicines to get rid of them. But once you start taking medicines, it is difficult to stop the habit. Therefore, instead of choosing a medicine-dependent life from the beginning, if you make some changes in your diet, you can keep all heart problems under control before the situation gets out of hand. To avoid the risk of heart attack, Delhi cardiologist Alok Chopra advised to stop bringing 4 types of food into the house.

What foods are on the list?

 Processed meat :

The more you eat fresh, homemade food, the better your health will be. Doctors say that you should stop buying processed foods, such as sausage, salami, bacon, processed meat. Buying fresh meat is better for your health. Processed meat is filled with various chemicals to increase its shelf life. These chemicals are not good for the heart or the stomach.

 Sugary drinks :

From children to adults, everyone is attracted to these types of drinks. According to doctor Alok, drinks like soft drinks, energy drinks, and packaged fruit juices should not be consumed at all. Alok says, “These drinks are nothing but sugar bombs. Eating them increases the risk of diabetes. And diabetes also increases the risk of heart disease several times.”

 Salty foods :

Chips, bhujia, salty biscuits should never be eaten regularly. If possible, it is better to completely eliminate them from your daily diet. Doctors warn that the main ingredients of these foods are refined oil and salt. These two ingredients can silently increase blood pressure, and if blood pressure increases, the risk of heart attack will also increase.

 Packaged sweets :

Many times, many things are bought at home that contain hidden sugar. Sugar is the biggest enemy of the heart, so doctors advise checking how much sugar is in some packaged foods, such as cookies, gummies, and cakes, before buying them from the market. These packaged sweets contain sugar, chemical colors, and trans fats, which are not good for the heart at all.
