Kolkata: Gold prices are on the rise again. According to the Indicative Hallmark Gold Jewellery Rate published by the Swarna Shilpa Bachao Committee (SSBC) at 10:20 AM on September 10, 2026, there has been a significant increase in the price of 22-carat gold today compared to yesterday.
Gold prices have risen by more than 1% due to continued pressure on the US dollar. Gold prices had been trending downwards over the past few days. Today, Thursday, the rate of the yellow metal saw a slight increase compared to yesterday, with a sudden hike in the prices of both 22-carat and 24-carat gold.

22-Carat Gold:
Selling rate on September 9: 14,460/gram
Selling rate on September 10: 14,565/gram
Increase: 105/gram
The buying rate for 22-carat gold has also increased.

It is not just gold; a significant rise has also been observed in silver prices today. The price of a 1 kg bar of 999 fine silver was 2,37,087 yesterday. Today, it has risen to 2,40,500—an increase of 3,413 in a single day.
This means that when purchasing jewelry, one will have to spend 105 more per gram for 22-carat gold compared to yesterday. At the same time, there has been a substantial shift in the silver market.
However, it should be noted that these SSBC rates shown in the image exclude 3% GST. Consequently, the final price of jewelry may include GST, making charges, and other applicable costs.
In Delhi, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold is 1,42,700 rupees. The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is 1,55,660 rupees. In Mumbai, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold is ₹1,42,550. The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is ₹1,55,510.
