Tiger 3 Advance Booking: Salman Khan’s Movie Secures ₹12.43 Crore, Potentially Becoming the Top Diwali Opener

Rohan Malhotra, Vice President of YRF Distribution, mentioned that there’s a possibility of people attending night shows after the puja to watch Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3. The advance bookings for Tiger 3, featuring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, have reached a two-figure mark, indicating a strong likelihood of it becoming the biggest Diwali opener in India. According to a Sacnilk.com report, the advance booking collection for the opening day on November 12 is ₹12.43 crore.

The report reveals that 462,327 tickets have already been sold for the first day, with 435,913 for the Hindi 2D version and 14,158 for the Telugu 2D version. The film will also be released in Tamil, with 1,957 tickets already sold. The anticipation for watching Tiger 3 in IMAX is high, with 8,203 tickets already booked for the first day.

There are reports suggesting that Tiger 3 may not see a release in Oman and Kuwait, possibly due to a scene featuring Katrina Kaif in a towel. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, known for films like Fan and Band Baaja Baaraat, Tiger 3 is the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, featuring cameos by Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan as Kabir.

Tiger 3 marks the first major release on Diwali in several years. Rohan Malhotra, Vice President of YRF Distribution, shared insights about the unique strategy behind releasing the film on Diwali. He stated, “Whenever we make decisions for a Yash Raj film, we always consider the impact on the overall business. We have confidence in Salman Khan’s stardom.” Expanding on the decision to release the film on Lakshmi Puja, he explained, “Lakshmi Puja is a day when there are prayers at home. It is a time when people celebrate festivals with their family. No producer has released a movie on the day of Lakshmi Puja in the last 11 years. We believe that there is a segment of the population that would want to celebrate Diwali by watching Salman Khan’s movie, especially since this is the third part of the Tiger series. The advance booking is significant even on the weakest day of the year for the film business.”

Malhotra further added, “It is the time after Lakshmi Puja. We have observed that many people attend night shows, so the 1 o’clock shows and 12:30 shows are scheduled and are witnessing good sales. We anticipate a slight drop in the evening when the majority of people will be busy with the puja. However, they might come at night to watch the film.”
