In the most recent rankings, Virat Kohli has slipped in the rankings, alongside Australian sensation David Warner, despite Warner’s brilliant century. In contrast, Heinrich Klaasen, consistently impressing with his batting, has made a remarkable leap of seven places, moving from 11th to fourth position. This rise has consequently caused both Warner and Virat to drop, leaving them tied with 747 rating points, securing the joint fifth position. Meanwhile, Quinton de Kock, who has notched up three centuries in the 2023 World Cup, has climbed from sixth to third place.

Shubman Gill Poses a Threat to Babar Azam:
Shubman Gill has emerged as a formidable contender for Babar Azam’s top spot in the current ODI rankings. As Team India prepares for its sixth match against England, all eyes are on Gill’s performance. Should Gill shine with the bat while Babar Azam underperforms against South Africa, Gill stands a chance to claim the number one batsman position. Babar currently holds 829 rating points, while Gill isn’t far behind with 823 points, a mere six-point difference. On another note, Team India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, who consistently provides a flying start, has moved up one place in the rankings, ascending from 9th to 8th.

Top 10 Bowlers and All-rounders:
In the top 10 list of bowlers, Josh Hazlewood holds the top position, with Mohammad Siraj in the second place. Keshav Maharaj has made significant gains, advancing from 8th to 3rd place, while Kuldeep Yadav retains his 9th position. Among the all-rounders, Hardik Pandya secures the 9th spot. Ravindra Jadeja shares the 15th rank with Scottish player Matthew Maat.
