Details of the iPhone 18 Pro Max Leaked
According to reports, a data breach occurred within Tata Electronics' systems in June. At the time, it was revealed that approximately 630.4 GB of Apple's confidential data had been leaked on the dark web. However, a subsequent investigation by the Indian government concluded that no critical information was compromised by the breach. Now, a report by Notebookcheck indicates that the camera specifications of the iPhone 18 Pro Max have been revealed through a diagnostic log found within the leaked files.
Details regarding the iPhone 18 Pro Max camera have leaked
According to the leaks, the iPhone 18 Pro Max may feature a 48-megapixel Sony IMX905 primary camera. Notably, reports suggest it will include a variable aperture feature; if this information proves accurate, it will mark the first time Apple incorporates this feature into an iPhone. This allows the camera to adjust its aperture based on varying lighting conditions, promising superior photo quality in both low-light and daylight environments.
Leaks also indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro Max could be equipped with a Sony IM973 telephoto sensor, a Sony IMX972 ultra-wide camera, a Sony IMX591 LiDAR receiver, and a Sony IM914 front-facing camera. Significant changes may be limited to the primary camera sensor, while the other camera sensors could remain similar to those found on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which launched last year.
When might it launch?
As it does every year, Apple could launch its new iPhone 18 series this September. The company has not yet officially announced the launch date or camera specifications. Therefore, the information currently available should be treated merely as leaks or reports. We will provide updates on the iPhone 18 Pro Max via future posts as soon as new information becomes available.
